I am Patrick Ytzen - an IT professional by day, a SCUBA Instructor and an amateur photographer for fun. This is a look through my lens and the photos that I have captured through the years.

My diving journey started in 2007 when I took my Open Water certification course for college credit - I needed another course to stay full-time. Enjoying it, I decided to continue, and by the end of my college career, I had earned my Divemaster Certification. Being broke and moving back home after college, my diving subsided until deciding where to go on my honeymoon with my fiancé. He decided to get certified, and I not only gained a husband, but a life-long dive buddy.

After some yearly trips, I decided I wanted to dive more, and got back into the professional side of SCUBA by getting my Instructor certification. As an instructor, I enjoy bringing people into the amazing world under the waves and to experience the underwater life that few get to see.

My passion for photography came out of my love for diving and wanting to bring the underwater world to everyone. With a trip to the Galapagos in my future and the discussion of an African Safari shortly thereafter, I knew I had to capture these moments with something better than just my phone. I purchased my first "real" camera and took a few classes to figure out what I was doing. While my main passion is underwater photography, I also find pleasure in capturing animals on the land as well as macro photography of insects and flowers. I have also been seen taking pictures of airplanes at Air & Water shows or pointing my camera at the sky to capture the moon or a solar eclipse.

This website offers a glimpse into the things that I have seen on my travels near and far, and highlights the photographs I am most proud of. Whether you are here to browse or buy, I appreciate you stopping by and sharing in my love for photography.
